Sparkplug delivers Wide Area Networking between four campus locations
A regional college offers more than 50 university transfer programs and more than 90 degrees and certificates in several areas of study for Arizona residents. They offer diverse course options, including traditional campus coursework, online classes, and distance learning programs. To support these online programs, the college needed high-capacity data, voice and video services to connect their four campuses. The local telephone companies were not able to provision the size of circuit needed to support the college’s data, voice and video transport requirements, so they looked to other area service providers for alternatives.
Sparkplug’s expansive wireless broadband network proved to be an ideal alternative for reliable high-capacity services at an affordable price. Sparkplug delivered 12 Mbps of connectivity to two of the campuses, and a full DS-3 (45 Mbps) to the college’s main campus. Sparkplug provided 12 Mbps Internet access in addition to the wide area network connections. The college was so satisfied with their Sparkplug service at their four campuses that they later added a 5 Mbps connection for a fifth campus.
