Sparkplug broadband proves to be an ideal solution for added capacity, reliability and redundancy for Kerasotes Showplace Theatres, LLC corporate office and theatre locations
With their main data center and operational systems housed in their corporate location, Kerasotes Theatres was hitting the limit of their two T-1 connections, and needed a connection alternative that could add capacity and provide physically-diverse redundancy. Sparkplug business broadband proved to be ideal, because the private wireless network provided a connection that is truly diverse from the wireline T-1s, as well as nearly unlimited scalability and a significant cost savings over wired service.
In 2006, when Kerasotes purchased two theatres in Chicago, they turned to Sparkplug to get those facilities connected. Kerasotes would take possession of the new properties Thursday night and needed to have the broadband service up and running for their opening on Friday morning, so fast installation was key. Sparkplug sent their install teams in on Thursday and worked feverishly to get the installation complete and the service tested and operational by Friday morning. The opening was a huge success, and the data connections needed to process payments and run back-end systems were up and running in time, thanks to Sparkplug.
