What types of service does Sparkplug provide?
Sparkplug provides business broadband Internet access services and enterprise broadband access and networking solutions. We are focused on providing a reliable, local alternative for business and enterprise customers requiring symmetrical, high-bandwidth services from 2 Mbps to 1 Gbps.

How are Sparkplug’s broadband services delivered?
Sparkplug owns and operates a private fixed wireless broadband network spanning eight states. Services are delivered wirelessly to a broadband antenna that is typically mounted on the roof of your building. A cable is then run from the antenna to your computer network, where it is connected to a standard Ethernet (10baseT or 100baseT) router.

How does Fixed Wireless Broadband work?
Fixed wireless broadband networks operate in much the same fashion as the traditional wired networks, except the copper or fiber lines used in wired networking are replaced with high-capacity wireless transceivers and antennas.

How fast is the service?
Sparkplug broadband services provide symmetrical bandwidth from 2 Mbps to 1 Gbps for a variety of Internet access and data networking applications.

What does “symmetrical” bandwidth really mean?
Symmetrical speed means Sparkplug delivers the same speed for upload and download. Whether you are sending an e-mail, uploading a file, using Internet voice or video, or interacting with online applications, you get consistent, reliable performance for both upload and download activities.

Where does Sparkplug provide service?

Can I get a static IP address?
Yes, Sparkplug provides a static IP address for each account. Additional IP Addresses can be assigned when needed.

How long will it take to get my Sparkplug service up and running?
Most Sparkplug business broadband services can be up and running in just one or two days, and can even be installed within 24 hours when faster installation is required by the customer.

What if I need to upgrade to more bandwidth in the future?
Sparkplug can often provision bandwidth upgrades in just hours, so it is easy to get the bandwidth you need, when you need it. We offer business broadband services in affordable, flexible increments up to 5 Mbps. Enterprise-level services are also available up to 1 Gbps.

How do Sparkplug’s prices compare to other solutions?
Sparkplug delivers more bandwidth for less money than T-1 services. Our 2 Mbps service starts at just $295, a savings of 30 to 60% over other services. And with 5 Mbps service at just $795, the more bandwidth you need, the more money you save.

How many computers can I connect to my Sparkplug service?
You can connect as many computers as you would like to your Sparkplug broadband connection, and each user shares the total available bandwidth.

Do I need to purchase special equipment to use business broadband services?
Sparkplug’s business broadband service connects to the standard Ethernet networking equipment you likely already own. If you do not own one, an inexpensive Ethernet router may be required.

Do I have to sign a contract?
Yes. A minimum contract term of one year is required, and promotions may be available for longer terms such as two or three years - just check with a sales rep for our current promotion.
